Candle Care & Use
Emerald Coast Candle Company® takes candle care seriously and we urge consumers to be careful when burning candles. We recommend following the National Candle Association’s rules for burning candles safely. DO NOT try to remove wax from the candle, while the candle is lit. This can cause serious burns or scalds. Wearable candle wax is intended for external use only. Before applying, test on a small area of skin near the hand or forearm. Emerald Coast Candle Company® assumes no liability of the actions of the consumer or products.
Always keep a burning candle within sight. Keep candles out of the reach of children and pets. DO NOT burn candle on or within the vicinity of other flammable objects. Emerald Coast Candle Company® candles are to be stored at room temperature as coconut wax is easily melted.
TRIM CANDLE WOOD WICKS
Trim wood wicks to a quarter inch each time before burning. Keep the coconut wax pool free of wick trimmings, matches and debris AT ALL TIMES. Emerald Coast Candle Company® assumes no liability of the actions of the consumer or products.
Never extinguish candles with water. Keep burning candles away from vents, ceiling fans, drafts and moving air. Always burn candles in a well-ventilated area. Never move or touch a candle when the coconut wax is liquefied. Never use a sharp object to remove coconut wax drippings from a glass holder as it could break. Place burning candles at least three inches apart from other objects. Make sure a candle is completely extinguished and the wood wick ember is no longer glowing before leaving the candle unattended. Extinguish a candle if it produces black smoke or if the flame becomes too large, as this signifies the wick needs trimmed. NOT intended or manufactured for internal use. If ingested seek immediate medical attention. Emerald Coast Candle Company® assumes no liability of the actions of the consumer or products.
